St. Hilda's School Ooty

St. HILDA'S SCHOOL was founded in 1892 by Sisters of the Church from Kilburn, U. K, to cater to the educational needs of the protestant European communities.

St. Hilda's School is one of the eminent schools in ooty imparting academic knowledge to the students and ensuring a holistic development of the child. The school was obtained from Miss Davenport who was the owner of the school, Goyte-Lea. The objective of the school is to inculcate in the students self disciple, faith, love in God and service to humanity.

St. Hilda's School in Ooty is named after the Abbess of Whitby who lived in the 7th century. The school is a residential school offering education to day scholars as well. The school is exclusive to the girls. Knowledge is not limited to the classrooms in St. Hilda's School, Ooty. Apart from Physical Training classes scheduled on the time table, juniors (STD V to VII) and seniors (STD VIII to XII) have evening games on specified days every week. Hebron School Ooty

Hebron School was founded in 1899 to serve the Christian worker community of India and South-East Asia.  More than a century has passed and the School continues to fulfil its original purpose although it has grown in size and is styled an International School recognised as such by the Government of India and the State of Tamil Nadu.  It is a co-educational and predominantly boarding school for children aged 8 years to 19 years.  About 10% of our students are day students (with staff children and children from the Defence Services Staff Training College in Wellington in addition).  Students study the English National Curriculum leading to IGCSE in Standards 10 and 11 and to A  levels in Standards 12 and 13.

Good Shepherd International School (GSIS)

The Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) was established in 1977 by Dr.P.C.Thomas. It is affiliated to International Baccalaureate (IB), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), administered by the University of Cambridge, England., Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP), Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSC) & Indian School Certificate (ISC).

The GSIS School  has six excellent computer labs with Internet facilities, audio and visual laboratories, huge library facilities with over 1 lakh plus number of books.

The Good Shepherd International School has always excelled at the Inter School Athletic Meet placing itself within the top five. Infrastructure is available for  Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Hard Court Tennis, Throwball, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton and Table Tennis, Skating, Cross Country, Field Events and Track Events are practiced by students which helps them in keeping physically fit. The Woodside School is a residential day scholar and co educational English medium school which is affiliated to the CBSE up to Standard Xth and the Tamil Nadu State Board for XIth and XIIth Standards. The campus is free from noise and air pollution.
